Board of Water & Light Chili Cook Off held at Riverfront Park in downtown Lansing on June 2nd. We made a hot and delicious chili with beef, sausage, and a secret ingredient that took first place for best amateur chili.

	A-1's Gift of Heat recipient in 2011 was Mr. Thorton Johnson who was nominated by his granddaughter. Over Mr. Johnson's life he and his wife fostered more than 500 children and adopted two of them.
